	*********************************************************** Hi all, On Friday 1st Aug saw a club trip to Portland diving from the Cutlass for the weekend, trippers were, Dave, Nigel, Charlie, Craig 'Dont it look like Cardiff' Smith, Martin, Lee, Barrie and Chris C, Friday night was spent in the hotel bar having a few sherberts, Saturday we dived the Black Hawk which was a really good dive with loads to see, the second dive was along the outside harbour wall seeing bits and pieces, the Black Hawk was the highlight followed by Barrie pukin his guts up to feed the fish!! Saturday night we went off into town in a mini bus for something to eat and a sample of Weymouth Pubs, we went back to the hotel for a night cap and the majority had an early night, however one member naming no one (but it was charlie), decided to stay a little longer and was thrown out of the bar in the early hours,he suffered the following day and duly fed the fish!! Sunday we dived the Countess of Ern on the inside harbour wall, a really good dive again with good viz, loads to see. Secong dive was a drift out side the harbour wall which was quite boring, the trip concluded with a sherbert and food and we all left about 3pm. All in all a great trip with good company and a nice dive boat. Pics will be posted shortly on the gallery.

	*********************************************************** The club are running courses in the near future, Oxy admin, Practical rescue management, dive planning and management and chartwork and navigation, courses will be held at Ystrad SC and west wales area, SDC prices apply but regional fees will be met by those attending. Please give names to the Club Sec for which courses you wish to attend, they will in the main be held on a sunday.

	********************************************************* Saturday 28th June, Dave, Nigel, Craig S and Barrie went off to Weymouth diving from the Tango, two good dives. We were with a group of boys from Watford bsac, unfortunately on the second dive one of them surfaced unconcious and later died in hospital, it was a very sad and tragic end to the day and our condolencies go out to the family. *********************************************************

	********************************************************* Good day at the quarry, divers were Dave, Chris B, Chris C, Martin, Barry, Charlie and Lee, sherberts after at the Upper Boat ******************************************************* No Club night this Thursday, council strike!! if you here the strike is off the pool night will be back on. *********************************************************

	********************************************************* Quarry day 21st June at Chepstow, divers, Nigel, Dave, Chris C, Craig S, Martin, Stephan and Stephanie, congratulations to Stephan who completed his Ocean diver training. *********************************************************

	********************************************************* Good day out Sunday 15th June, visit to Seatown in Dorset to shoredive a wreck!! The viz was appalling and it had a steep shingle beach.needless to say one dive then off to the pub, (xed off our list) The divers (drinkers) were, Craig, Dave, Nigel, Martin and Barry (who bought the book dives of Dorset so it was his fault)Davies. *********************************************************

	********************************************************* Good few days diving last week, good turnout Saturday divers Toddy, shiny, Dai,Charlie,Craig,Chris,Nigel and Dave. Well done to Charlie Challenger who completed his Ocean Diver Qual. *********************************************************

	********************************************************* Good days diving Saturday 17th May at Brixham, divers were Charlie Challenger, Nigel, Dave, Craig S, Chris C. Charlie completed his first two Ocean Diver dives, pity about the rain, chucked it down all morning. *********************************************************

	*********************************************************** The age to learn with the Club drops to 12yrs if the parent or guardian is an existing Club member, or if the parent also joins.

	********************************************************* For all members, anyone enquiring re joining the Club tell them to come along any Thursday, we have entered the Go Dive campaign again this year, also we have entered the Branch of the Year Competition (1st prize £4500 worth of dive equipment) The next Ocean Divers Course we are bringing forward to start end of August. 	*********************************************************** THE CLUB RIB The club rib is now stored at West Wales Divers, the boat can be used by all authorised club drivers and members, karen has bought a tractor which is down on the beach at Little Haven and she will launch and retrieve for £10, all you need is a tow bar to get it down there, at the moment we only have one ignition key so you will have to book it and collect it from Nigel.
